Board of Directors

Lynn Morris was elected as the President of the Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association (NAA) for the 2009-2011 term. His platform of Membership, Mentorship and Management led to his re-election 2011-2013 term. He is building on that foundation to help further enhance the National Alumni Association. He is a Class of 1978 (December 1977) graduate of PVAMU earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition, he possesses a Master of Science degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake City campus. President Morris has supported Prairie View A&M University and the NAA with his time, talent, and treasures. He has been an active Life Member of the NAA for 17 years and is a charter member of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) Chapter.

Immediately prior to being elected President, he served as the National Alumni Association Secretary. Morris has held numerous positions within the NAA which including: Parliamentarian (2 years); Sergeant-at-Arms (2 years); and Vice President (4 years). He served as Host Chair for the 2006 Convention and chaired several committees.

Professionally, he is currently the manager of a software engineering group that maintains Mission Control Center (MCC) Flight Controller software for Johnson Space Center. Morris is as a visionary leader that has demonstrated effective management and organizational skills both professionally and in community service.

Lynn is an active member of New Beginning Church in League City, where he serves as the Church Treasurer and Chairman of the Deacon Board. His community involvement includes: Director on the South Shore Harbour Municipal Utility District No. 6 Board of Directors, Vice President of the Harbour East Homeowners Board of Directors, and a member of the Dickinson NAACP. His wife, Mrs. Gladys (Pikes) Morris, also a PVAMU graduate, has been very supportive throughout his career. They have two children, Candance and Justin. We are proud to call him President Morris as he makes plans to enhance the foundation on which the NAA was established.
